Just Added: a FaceBooK Support Page for all doctors and scholars
https://www.facebook.com/dreamstodegree/
I decided to use an unexpected Facebook page as a support site for those scholarly professionals of higher academia. I especially hope to motivate some to publish.. For those who have not published an academic journal article, feel free to post your topic ideas, your worries and concerns, and your questions. If you are seeking a writing partner, let that be known as well.
For those brilliant people who have published, please tell us how you went about it, the successes, failures, and the challenges you encountered. Don’t forget to tell us how many times you published, what benefits you received from publishing, and where you published. Feel free to include your article (not your dissertation) or provide a link to your article.

“There are three rules for writing a novel.
Unfortunately, no one knows what they are.”
(W. Somerset Maugham)
I will add: a myriad of rules exist for writing a dissertation.
Unfortunately, no one agrees on what they are.

How did Dr. Walden become a dissertation coach and editor?
Several of you have asked how Dr. Walden got into academic coaching: It simply evolved. In the early nineties, after several years as a public school teacher, tutor, and editor; she earned certification as a Teacher Support Specialist (teacher mentor). Thereafter, she spent a couple of years mentoring new teachers and teachers on probation for a public school system in Metropolitan Atlanta. This certification, her other certifications, and degrees made her a candidate for higher education; consequently, a local university hired her to teach and supervise teacher candidates in the graduate degree program. Dr. Walden supervised teachers on the job during their practicums. She did this in addition to teaching high school, mentoring teachers, and teaching a few graduate courses at different universities. It just seemed natural to start tutoring grad students. Several of her former grad students sought her out to help them pass required tests or prepare their theses and dissertations. So, she started a small online business in addition to her other responsibilities. In 2010, she retired from teaching and simply shifted the part-time business into a full-time position. She has been coaching doctoral candidates and learners for almost 30 years.
